Entry Rules and Regulations
A deposit of $300.00 will reserve your studio’s spot for any Elite Dance Challenge event. A cheque or money order can be made to Elite Dance Challenge.
Please note payment in the form of Studio Cheque or Money order must be received by February 15th, 2014. There will be a 5% charge on all payments received after this date. There is a $25.00 NFS fee.
Early Bird Deadline is January 5th 2014. Entry fees received by January 4th 2014 will be refunded 5% of the studio’s total entry fees.
No limits on the amount of entries per studio.
Elite Dance Challenge will continue to accept registration so long as the time is permitted by the venue. We will close registration once the time is full.
No dancer can compete against themselves in any category or age division. Routines containing different dancers from the same studio maybe compete against each other.
We will be sending a preliminary schedule of all confirmed entries via e-mail. All changes must be made at this time. We will try to accommodate all requested changes. The final schedule will be sent three weeks prior to the competition date.
Elite Dance Challenge reserves the right to cancel any competition if an inadequate amount of entries are received to run the event.
Elite Dance Challenge will not issue refunds for unforeseen circumstances such as extreme weather conditions, road closures, or any other extraneous circumstances.
Elite Dance Challenge will not be responsible for any additional charges incurred by students, teachers, choreographer or parents while attending any EDC event.Registration acknowledges your understanding that participants in dance competitions are subject to risk of injury. Registration acknowledges your acceptance of such risks, releases the director, staff and sponsors of Elite Dance Challenge from any claims for damages, injuries or loss of property while participating at our event.
By entering Elite Dance Challenge, you are giving the right to use any photographs or videos taken at the event as promotional material.
Judges scores can be picked up at the end of the weekend by a studio representative.
Rules and Guidelines
To reserve the safety of our dancers and the integrity of choreography, there is not video taping, or photographing permitted during performances. This will result in disqualification.
Please be respectful of all dancers performing on stage and refrain from entering and exiting the theatre during performances. Please wait until the end of the routine.
The venue will open 1 hours prior to competition start time.
Dressing rooms will be appointed by the EDC Staff. Please be courteous to all EDC participants and share rehearsal space.
Please respect the EDC venue by keeping dressing rooms clean and tossing any trash. Vandalism is not accepted.
Dancers must be prepared to dance 30mins prior to their scheduled performance time should EDC be running ahead of schedule.
All entries must perform in the order of the program, unless given permission by the Elite Dance Challenge Director or Stage Manager. Should a routine miss their appointed performance time it could result in a being adjudicated only and not eligible for category placement.
In the event that a performance is not completed, the routine is allowed to perform again, but to be adjudicated only. These routines are not eligible for placement or overall awards.
Elite Dance Challenge, its directors or its staff will not be held responsible for any injury or loss of property to contestants, parents, teachers or any member while attending any Elite Dance Challenge Event.
